RYAN McDANIEL
A2H

An associate, senior structural engineer and manager with A2H, Ryan McDaniel brings more than 15 years of project management and structural engineering experience to A2H as leader of the firm's structural engineering group, one of the largest in the region. Ryan also serves as project manager for the majority of the firm’s industrial and complex projects. He has a comprehensive history of designing projects for public and private clients within the industrial, commercial, and governmental sectors. Ryan has managed and designed countless projects across the U.S., specializing in complex structures and foundations, heavy industrial equipment foundations and process support platforms, marine structures, material handling structures, lifting and rigging plans, pits and cofferdams, crane design, structural evaluations and retrofits, seismic retrofits and assessments, and forensic investigations. Ryan has been in charge of multiple fast-track projects for new design and repairs to existing facilities. He has extensive experience utilizing Building Information Modeling and clash detection for large industrial facilities.


RICK EMMER
Magnetek

Rick Emmers serves as business development manager for Magnetek’s Material Handling Engineered Solutions Group, which offers high-level power delivery solutions to the overhead crane industry. As a manager, sales professional and project manager in the Material Handling Industry for 25 years, Rick understands the importance of listening to the voice of the customer in order to leverage his experience and take advantage of his vast pool of resources to communicate and deliver the right solution for the right application. Before joining Magnetek and entering the crane industry, Rick spent 17 years providing integrated automation solutions to customers in the conveyor and palletizing industry. Rick holds a B.S. degree in business with a concentration in marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.


LARRY DUNVILLE
Overhead Crane Consulting

With decades of experience as a thought leader in the crane industry, Larry Dunville has served for 35 years as the president of Dearborn Crane and Engineering, a designer, manufacturer and installer of overhead cranes. In his current role as a crane consultant, he provides guidance to companies across North America. He is the former executive director for the CCAA (Crane Certification Association of America); has served as a member of AIST (American Institute of Steel Technology) committee’s 6 and 13, which writes the crane specifications for the U.S. steel industry; has authored numerous published articles on cranes, crane runways and crane safety; has co-authored a U.S. patent and received an industry design engineering award; and frequently speaks about crane engineering and crane safety to various professional groups including OSHA, CMAA (Crane Manufacturing Assoc. of America), AIST (American Institute of Steel Technology), CCAA (Crane Certification Association of America and FEWA (Forensic Witness Association of America. Larry is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Harvard Business School.
